Incoming Club Officers & Chairman to Attend

The 18th Rotary District Assembly is scheduled to be held on 4th May, 2008 at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, Mt. Lavinia (http://www.mountlaviniahotel.com), organised by: Rotary Clubs of Colombo Regency & Mount Lavinia.

The purpose of the District Assembly (an Annual Club Leaders Training Meeting) is to train and prepare the incoming Club Leaders who will serve in key Club leadership roles during Rotary 2008-9. It further provides an opportunity for the Governor Elect, incoming Asst. Governors & Dist. Officers/ Chairmans the opportunity to motivate Club Leadership Teams and build working relationships to ensure a successful Rotary year 2008-9.

As discussed at Pre-PETS & PETS, kindly distribute the Club Officers' Kit (the 7 Manuals/Books) amongst your key Club Team members. The Club Secretary's Manual also includes the Club Treasurer Elect information (Pages 55-58), please photo-copy it for the Treasurer. Also immediately provide your selected Club Committee Chairman (5) with the relevant Committee Manuals. This will enable them to prepare a worthy plan of action for your Club. Convene a meeting of your Board members & 5 committee chairman a.s.a.p..

The Assembly Registration Form (Single set of Forms per Club) are with the Presidents Elect or can be download (double click on the Forms below). Spouses are welcome.
Registrations upto 24 April, 2008 - Rs.1,800/- Per Person.
Thereafter, spot registration - Rs.2,000/- per person.

Rotary District Assembly - Registration

Trust the Presidents have started circulating the District Assembly - Registration Form (Single set of Forms for each Club) at the Club meetings. The Training during this District event is geared specially for the incoming Rotary Club Officers 2008-9 (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Pres. Elect for 2009-10) and the 5 Committee Chairman selected by the President Elect for Rotary 2008-9 (Club Administration, Membership, Service Projects, Public Relations & The Rotary Foundation). Kindly ensure that at least 10/all of the key incoming Club Officers & Chairman do register & attend the 18th Rotary District Assembly. All are welcome!

Bring Club Officer Manuals for the Assembly

Trust the President's Elect have provided the Club Officer's Manuals (The Club Officer's Kits were given at Pre-PETS) to the respective key Club Officers & 5 Chairman who will work towards a meaningful programme of Rotary Club activity during 2008-9.

If not already done, please retain only the Club President's Manual and immediately give your Club Secy. Elect the Club Secretary's Manual & photo copy the Club Treasurer Section (4 pages) from this manual and give it to the Club Treasurer Elect too. Also provide your selected Club Committee Chairman with the respective 5 Club Committee Manuals (Club Administration, Membership, Service Projects, The Rotary Foundation & Public Relations) so that they could prepare and plan their programme of activities.

You as Club President 2008-9, should have by now convened at least 1 meeting with your elected Board members and the Committee Chairman selected by you to serve during Rotary 2008-9. This should be done well before the District Assembly.
